Take the Truth to Australia Tour on this May

BY KEITH JACKSON

martynIT HAS BEEN QUITE A TORTUOUS journey but Papua New Guinea’s best known and most quoted blogger, Martyn Namorong, squeezed his passport out of an inefficient and corrupt immigration system this afternoon.

Planning for the resumption of his Australian lecture and meet the media tour has already begun.

The Take the Truth to Australia Tour was supposed to have kicked off this week but, when reality and the PNG passport office collided, the latter won, to the  dismay of the growing ranks of Martyn’s Papua New Guinean and Australian admirers.

Now the resumed and rejuvenated tour is likely to take place some time in the period after mid-May and, unlike the previous itinerary, will include Canberra as well as Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

We thank the key sponsors of this visit – Victoria University, Twivey Lawyers, Nowek Pty Ltd and Jackson Wells Pty Ltd, as well as the many individual donors who understand the need for voices from the buai market as well as the academics and big shots to talk with the Australian people.
